Rin tensed as he raised his large, pointed ears. With a dull sense of smell, he had to be ever so quiet to actually hear the prey he was going to eat. Eyes strained against the white blanket of snow covering the ground, Rin scanned for freshly made prey tracks. Suddenly, he spotted something. Tiny prints wove through some trees, eventually ending in a burrow near the base of a large oak. As he crept closer, he began to hear some movement, but before he got within five yards, a lean rabbit popped out from the other side of the tree, running away as quickly as its little lucky rabbit's feet could carry it. Rin smiled a bit, giving the poor creature a little bit of a head start. Within seconds, he was bounding through the snow, easily clearing fallen logs that the rabbit squeezed under. After a moment, he was upon it, and he killed the hare with one bite to the neck.
Licking the blood off of his muzzle, Rin sighed contentedly. " I would join a pack," he thought, "If I wasn't going to starve to death. They don't understand just how much food I need... I could be the best hunter, bringing down deer for them, only if they would let me eat half of it!" He chuckled to himself and shook his head. "The stupid packs. Retronym, so caught up in domination that they can't even tell you what they just ate, and Colcannon, So obsessed with doing good that they deprive themselves in the process. Not to mention Nepenthes, too cowardly to take sides, yet unable to make their own. What a bunch of losers." As much as he tried to convince himself, Rin would have liked being in a pack, having a family, someone to care for. With his pent up internal frustration he began clawing at the snow, digging a hole in which he could bury the remains of his meal.
(I hope that's good enough for you to reply to, I'm not good at starting.)
