The King and Queen lead the pack, make every final decision, greet wolves at the border and determine ranks. They are the only one who are allowed to dole out punishments, unless stated otherwise.They are allowed to greet wolves at the border and accept them into the pack.
Prince/Princess
The Prince and Princess are the heirs to the throne by relation to the King and Queen. They help lead the pack and are in training to become the next leaders when the King&Queen retire or die. This can either be a male heir with a mate, or a female heir with a mate- Prince and Princess only come to be when they are of at least two to three years of age.They are allowed to greet wolves at the border but may not accept them into the pack.
Grand Duke/Duchess
These two wolves are essentially the betas of the pack. They are second in command and answer only to the King and Queen, each gender is considered a confidant to either the King or Queen and used as advisers from time to time.They are allowed to greet wolves at the border but may not accept them into the pack.
Gamma
The Gammas of the pack are the retired alphas. They are highly respected and help train the Prince and Princess, usually their grand pups. The Gammas also help the King & Queen reach their final decisions.They are not allowed to greet wolves at the border.
Healer
The Healer of the pack heals the wolves it serves, is allowed to experiment on the slaves of the pack and must test each piece of food brought the Royal family from other packs for poison.They are allowed to greet wolves at the border but may not accept them into the pack.
Healer's Apprentice
The Healer’s Apprentice is the Healer’s right hand. They are learning all the tricks of the trade and are usually subject to experiments as well.They are not allowed to greet wolves at the border, unless accompanied by the Healer.
Spies
The Spies are the fastest, thinnest, and best long distance runners in the pack. They are vigilant and easy to spook, like deer they are always on their toes and always listening. However, Retronym spies not only keep an ear out for words, they are used as bait to distract wolves and used as reconnaissance to relay information about where things are in a rival territory when preparing for war.They are allowed to greet wolves at the border but may not accept them into the pack.
Knights
The Knights are the guards of the pack. They escort young females to different parts of the territory in order to keep them safe- they also escort the Nannies and Pups. Knights stick close to the denning sites and guard the main camp unless called elsewhere, or commanded elsewhere by the Queen.They are allowed to greet wolves at the border but may not accept them into the pack.
Border Patrol
The Border Patrol do just what their name insinuates. They take shifts strolling along the border of the territory making sure the scent marks are well kept as well as making sure no one intrudes. These wolves are burly, skeptical and protective of the pack.They are allowed to greet wolves at the border but may not accept them into the pack.
Feeders
The Feeders of the pack do all the main hunting. They make sure that there is a fresh bunny in front of each den in the morning and that no wolf falls ill from lack of food. The entire pack is allowed to hunt, but the Feeders are the most skilled at the art.They are allowed to greet wolves at the border but may not accept them into the pack.
Nannies
The Nannies take care of the children while the rest of the pack works. They ensure the pups are well fed, are educated in different skills as well as the ways of the pack. Nannies are assigned a group of 2-3 pups at a time and are required to focus only on them, they are reassigned pups when their current charges reach 1 year.They are not allowed to greet wolves at the border.
Khi
The Khi are apprentices learning the formal workings of the rank they wish to specialize in. Pups who reach their year mark are considered Khi are taught what they need to know, then given the option to stay with the pack or leave in peace with the allowance to visit. New wolves entering the pack are also first ranked as Khi to prove loyalty as well as to show their worth in the rank they wish to be placed into.They are not allowed to greet wolves at the border.
Pups
The Pups of the pack are the most important, and in regards of safety are placed right beneath the King and Queen. They are the future and must be protected at all times. Pups are not to be left alone, nor leave one's sight for any amount of time.They are not allowed to greet wolves at the border.
