It was an eerie sound, something that would have most wolves peeking over their shoulders with thoughts that someone was following them. For Zapz, it just made her placid features crinkle into a gleaming grin. You could say that she knew something was following- a small giggle chimed from her vocals, "Come now... hiding in the shadows? So many years; so many years..." She spoke nonsense to the open air, glazed auburn eyes proof that she was indeed miles away from where she was in body. The ebony fae weaved her way through the bushes, paws pushing into the gleaming snow that had made it's way to the floor of the thickly covered forest. The cold numbed the base pads, made them tingle and beg her to discontinue her quest and lick them back into warmth. She didn't pity her paws, didn't pity herself for that matter. Another giggle loosed from her lungs like an arrow from a bow, "Oh my precious... My precious, be flowing my precious!" She reached the edge of the purple creek and sniffed at it's covered surface. A soft coo left the canine's lips, "Oh dear, we have a problem don't we? You see, I asked so nicely for you to be flowing... but you've wronged me so." It was a rather alluring sound, one that could almost convince you she was disappointed but that she would do no harm.
But, quick as a blink her features changed. The lower lid of her left eye twitched radically, her mental state had flipped. Her snout twisted into a snarl, pulling her lips from her fangs as she reared up and slammed both front paws down upon the ice. The thin layer of ice cracked, smashing through and soaking her forelegs. Her voice came out rather sadistic, "Try my patience again careless creek and it shall be your end." Her features returned to a sense of normalcy suddenly as yet another giggle pulled it's way up through her throat. "Oh look! You flow in such a small place, but your love for me is evident. Bless you sweet creek, you've made me very happy." She lowered her head and began to lap at the frigid water. Her throat screamed in surprise as did her stomach, a shiver ran down her spine making her let out a soft peeling squeal of delight. She shook her pelt and raised her muzzle, droplets of water falling from her chin in a final attempt to run from the deranged femme. There is a rush one can get, when the nerve endings are firing, one that could send some into a playful gag and others into a tightly wound ball.
For Zapz, it did the former. Thirst quenched she jumped to the side as if another wolf were trying to bite playfully at her shoulder. Snow flew up into the air as she scattered it, diving her nose under and tossing it into the air. Her mood was deceiving, for soon she was chasing after some imaginary canine that had done wrong in this solitary game. Lips raised again in the toothy smile she chased this illusion until she became distracted by a scent that led up into her nose. The Queen slowed, muscles freezing- forcing joints to take the full extent of the stop. Her bones complained, but she paid no heed to the burning- her nostrils were busy pulling in the scent like a selfish child with candy. Her legs trembled, body stiff before she seemingly went limp and darted off after this perfume, bright curiosity pulled her features right 'round as she followed the invisible rope- leading her like a fish on a line to it's producer.

A sickening snap, followed by the credulous cry of what only could belong to an animal drowning in its own blood. A flash of ebony followed by ruby liquid and snow could only be seen in this tussle. It was a sight to be held by any creature near and far and could be compared to a land mine going off. As soon as the mysterious commotion began, it ended in silence. Blood caressed the colorless ground around a twisted carcass of bone, flesh, and blood. One would think a whole army of men had been slaughtered on the scene but alas the carcass only belonged to a single doe. Eyes a blaze and chest heaving with delight a brute of a wolf stood over the sick mess. His silver hues where glued to the masterpiece before him as crimson liquid trickled down his black jowls. It was almost too beautiful for him to devour. This work of art had to be eaten however and the growling protests of his stomach made up his mind. The grotesque beast dug into his meal and stripped meat from bone and tendons with ivory teeth. Healthy clumps of meat where taken into his mouth and gulped down in one bite, forcing his charcoal fur to shiver with bliss. This indeed was a wolf with bad intentions and a sick mind if there ever was one. One would find it no surprise that the beast, after his fill from the meal, rolled around in the blood and snow. It clung delicately to his coarse coat and gave him the most appetizing of scents. All that was left from the mangled doe was a few unwanted parts, bones, and blood that remained dominate over the white earth. Content with his meal and new coat, the brute walked off into a random direction. He desired water which was hard to sniff out with the frigid cold that froze all of it over. His powerful front and back legs pushed against the snow with ease, having no trouble with the cold at all. It was neither fatigue nor the cold that caused him to sit down in a random spot after a few minutes of walking. It was because the brute simply could. As he sat down near the umbrage of a small bush, he took in a deep whiff of the air around him. He seemed to be upwind of anything worth investigating and left him feeling a bit of a loss at what to do next. His pack was small at the moment and left him pent up staying there for long periods of time, although he was very loyal to them. The wolf looked down at his large paws that where now encrusted with blood and snickered to himself. “One by one we bite the dust…” He leaned down only to take a large scoop of snow into his gaping jaws and waited for it to melt until he could drink it. No one was around for him to speak with except for the one content voice in the back of his head. He decided to consult it. “Had your fill brother? I gave you what you asked and you received it kindly. I think it is time you help me for once you putrid little animal!” And so Bruiser began pawing into the snow beneath him with frustration. Just then a sound alerted him to keep on his toes. He rose to all fours and let out a growl to whatever of whomever it was that dared interrupt his conversation. His nose failed to pick up what it was for sure, but being downwind of them could only mean that they sure knew who he was.

There seemed to be no end to her running. On and on the scent that held her attention tugged her. Up short hills and through the thick brush of the forest. The depth of the snow varied in areas, slowing her down now and then but never inhibiting her by all that much. Her jaws were spread, ajar on it's hinge that shifted ever so slightly as her body jerked up and down to the beat of her paws. Now she slowed. Now she came to a jarring halt, snow flaying out from her limbs. Blood, carcass. She squealed in glee, threw herself down and rolled in the mess with groans and sighs of pleasure. “BLESS THE GODS!” She called out to the air. Her spine contorted, muscles threw her body back to its paws. She grinned down at the disgusting mess and gave her frame a hearty shake. The kill was fresh, stripped clean of all it's glory items- but it didn't stop her from taking a few nibbles. Her jaws clasped a leg, teeth dug into the exposed bone and she worked it for several minutes until the fragile thing broke. Then, as if she were a pesky coyote being chased by her own species she tore away from the dead creature, it's fore-limb held tightly between her ebony jaws.
She ran several hundred feet before she looked back, dropped the leg and laughed aloud. “Pity you, how ever shall you run without a leg!” She laughed and laughed before she strode off and left the leg where she'd dropped it. What reason would she have to keep going with it? There was no way the deer would be able to get it back! Another cackle left her lungs as she continued on at a steady lope. Would anything else catch her quarry? Indeed. She froze, limbs trembling with a sudden excitement as she snatched another delightful scent from the air. Her lid twitched, it was the ever unpopular Bruiser. “Shadow Boy..” This was the male who found her curiously intriguing. She should know, he told her. She giggled and picked her paws, releasing her tight muscles in a military goose-step. She'd go after him, take him for a run. Once more she weaved through the brush and the foliage- everything that was covered with a deliberate blanket of white. The tiny flakes were slammed together under each paw, forced to grab onto each other in inappropriate ways. Some refused to be pressed down and flew up before her- giving the Queen the opportunity to snatch at them with her jaws.
She heard voices up ahead- grinned as her ears swiveled forward and grabbed for them. But the tones where allusive and ran away with the wind so as to keep their secrets. Her bottom lip jutted out in a human like pout, “[Oh drat/b]” She muttered. Again her lungs pulled in the stinging scent of Bruiser- a shiver of pleasure ran down her spine and tickled her limbs. Now she heard his growl, her tail picked up- hung over her hips in that simple yet tense way of dominance. Her limbs stiffened slightly as she bounced through the snow and contorted her ebony body around the bush. Auburn eyes made instant contact with his colorless hues, “Oh Shadow Boy- do shut up...” She giggled and made her way to him, her nose poking directly into his neck ruff. Inhaling the blood and guts from his kill she grinned into his fibers and nipped at his hidden skin. “You were such'a hungry boy weren't you?” Her tail swayed, shifted back and forth as she then pranced around him, muzzle snipping in now and then to nip and bite at his fur.

As Bruiser growled, he expected no one to approach with a temper such as his. His size alone would force any creature off scurrying for their lives. With silver hues darting about in the distance, he could hear something approach. How foolish. What sort of twisted creature would walk TOWARDS the sound of a monster? It took him almost as a surprise but the brute quickly got over it. A small voice in the back of his head tried to reassure him that he could kill and roll in the blood of whatever it was that was indeed approaching. With a boost of inner self esteem, Bruiser stood up straighter and puffed his chest out a bit as the creature began making its form present. What he saw shocked him in the least, and shocking a monster is a difficult task. It was a familiar fae known as Zapz. They had meet before and what a meeting it was. This wolf was the only creature alive that he knew who didn’t run in the opposite direction of his very being. It was almost unrealistic in a way, against every speck of instinct in one’s body. Knowing that his aggressive actions would not work in this situation, he relaxed a bit. He hid his porcelain fangs as every inch of his body loosened up. The hair on his back remained standing up on end as the fae approached and dug her muzzle into his neck. The voices in his head screamed for him to either move away or tear her open. Visibly tense, Bruiser stood in one spot ready to break until the fae moved away from his neck. Each time she nipped at his body, he moved away slightly and contorted his body to nip back. While doing so, he also took in a deep whiff of her sent through flaring nostrils. She smelled almost exactly the same way as he remembered. One thing stood out on her coat however and it was the scent of blood. Not just any blood but the blood of the deer he had devoured earlier. His kill must have attracted her to this area, thus bringing her on the trail of him. His black ears rose on top of his head as she spoke. She must have found his kill for sure. Bruiser shook his mighty pelt off before he began his reply to Zapz. “Not so much hungry than I was curious as to see what the animal would do without it’s insides.” He huffed what seemed like a laugh then simply watched as she continued to nip and circle. He bumped her hard in the side as she walked past her and tilt his head to the side ever so slightly. “So tell me. What are you doing chasing empty deer out here? Did the one I found tell you my whereabouts?” His eyes began to shift around as for a moment he began to think if all of his kills had spread lies about him after killing them. “Whatever it said, I assure you it wasn’t me.” In his head it made perfect sense. They were trying to get revenge for when he would torture and kill them.
