Fishing. That was what he'd come here to do today. But were there ant damn fish? No. Of course not. The dingo grunted and picked up his thin frame to leave the bank. He'd not seen any of his so called pack for weeks. There were only two other, Prosper and Tackle. By no he figured they'd picked up when he was sleeping or off patrolling and just forgot to collect him. His eyes rolled once more. So did that make him alpha? Did he own these lands now that it seemed he was the only one living in them, maintaining their borders? The dingo grunted again, no it didn't make him squat. He was still just a simple Duke. That was it, and that was all he'd ever be.

He didn't care much, with no alphas around he didn't have to relay howls constantly- not like he had much of a voice. Dingos aren't known for their singing! Even still, the brute missed the company. Even if he never said much to either of the two wolves. He huffed lightly and looked back to the river once more. He had to eat, there was no question about it. If he didn't he'd most likely die, already this winter he'd lost to much weight. He groaned lightly, his stomach confirming his thoughts. So, for a second time he returned to the river's edge and watched the waters.

Earlier in the year it had been relatively frozen, but with spring on its way and warmer weather already settling in, the ice that held the banks had receded slightly. He sighed softly, the air pushing out form his lungs and shifting the water before him slightly- rippling it. Almost as it had materialized from the mud- a small turtle wriggled past, trying to escape the predator it spotted above. BT grabbed the creature deftly and sprung from the bank with his catch held tightly in his mouth. Beethoven ran for his den, his long legs pumping hard and fast.
