The white hills. He huffed, oh they were white alright- and he was very much black. Doc laughed at the thought, this would prove to be interesting. He was hungry, and wanted to eat- but he didn't want to make a kill. Not today, not after the last one. His souless eyes blinked shut as a shudder ran down his spine. “Ugh” He muttered quietly. Doc moved out across the blinding hills, his paws pushing down into the little blanket of snow and thin crackly grass beneath it. He turned his mind from the previous day and the life he'd taken- it wasn't much to think about if he had been some other wolf. But Doc wasn't any other wolf. He was special, in to great a way. Ebony audits rolled about on his cranium like an owl's head- listening and pulling whatever sounds traveled on the air to him.
He stopped when he picked up the faint caws of crows. Crows almost indefinitely meant something dead, or something to eat. A smooth grin fell across his features as his paws bombarded the hills, pulling him faster and faster to the birds. He was easy to spot as he flew across the never ending expanse of white, only disappearing when he reached the base of a hill. His lungs were pumping air as hard as they could, his jaws wide and slathered with saliva. Black orbs were narrowed against the pressure of air breaking around his body. Doc had no scent to go by, and his ears proved worthless now as the air screamed past them. He slowed, his lungs rasping as they gulped and puked air like there was no tomorrow. In the blink of an eye he was off again, paws tearing into the snow and frozen soil as he changed directions to keep after the crows and the now delicious and pungent stench of death.
