The damage would depend on who lead Retronym, but for the purpose of keeping things going- let's say the warriors left behind to guard are slaughtered, and a handful of the faes raped. None of the pups are harmed during the attack.
If Arche became Queen she'd kill Zapz. xD She hates Zapz with a flaming passion, since Zapz led to Briar's death and then desecrated his body. Make him like a PitBull, Rottweiler, Wolf crossbred- and maybe he gets his extra strength from drinking out of the cursed lake? >D
Hmmm, to break the curse- the Healers could say they all have to drink from the water. Maybe when they due, they start mutating in slight ways?

No way! That was totally what I was thinking, He drinks from the lake and gets stronger! His motto was going to be along the lines of eating wolves makes you stronger, while eating prey makes you weaker and weaker until you have to eat plants, just like the prey (cue herb eating elders). He would definitely drink from the lake if he thought it would make him stronger.
I like the idea of them mutating slightly... Retronym could discover this, and guard the water fiercely only letting Retronyms drink from it.

Retronym should guard the lake and make it there own, yes- but only if enough wolves can get a good benefit. I suppose they could test the water on the slaves. Make them swim, drink and eat what ever lives in the lake before the rest of the pack touches it. Then, if things go horribly wrong, Retronym could send fish(or whatever lives in the lake) to the other packs as offerings for 'long life' and the fish could be deadly and kill within hours of consumption. >D

I thought the description said "nothing lives in this lake because it is poisoned" or something along those lines? And if the lake did have special properties, then the other packs wouldn't let Retronym hogg it. How does the ebil dude meet his ebil end? ;(

Well if this cannibal loner tells Retronym about the lake, they would keep it secret and go straight to it- forcing secrecy upon all the members so the other packs couldn't find out.

3rdly :: Well, if he joined them already and some little girl was fawning over his muscles asking him how he got so strong, maybe he would tell his secrets. Or if Retronym was facing another battle after the big pack war- he could tell the King or Queen about it to ensure the victory of the pack.

Hmm...
Poisoned lake - what if it really was some sort of curse, only it manifests in the form of disease? The lake could have the blood of all three packs soiled in it, or the bones of three former alphas who lead wars against each other...it would be a chilling way to accent the current war (If that's still going on at this time).
If Arche ends up being queen : The cannibal she would be wary of. She would see the immediate upside to having such a strong, driven wolf. But she would also doubt how deep his sanity went, where the evil ended and the dog began. She would probably ask him to help her win her war to gain admittance to the pack, or something like that. But she would need to find some way of controlling him - you know how big she is on that. If she couldn't control him, she couldn't let him ravage her pack. She would find out how to destroy him or subdue him so that he wouldn't be a wild threat as opposed to a normal threat - like the threat of every single one of her pack, every day.
The poisoned lake... She would crave the power it was rumored to have, but, like Zapz said, it would be best to test it on slaves, and use it as a weapon if it ended up being lethal.

Hm. Idea!
The disease could be cured in one of two ways. Way one: Drink from the demon lake, get healed painfully and have odd mutations. OR Way two: Drink from the moon lake, get healed peacefully with no side effects.
Hmm? Hmmm? Likey or no likey?
I'm also going to wait on the baddie. Save the better for later!
